Well all things coincidered that was a pretty damn good start to season three. The animation was better then ever (seriously, thats done on flash!) the characterization was some of the best in the whole show, every pony did what they do best, the songs were cute with 'Ballad of the crystal ponies' being so damn catchy and the background music was epic level.
Only problem with most bronies, including myself, being that the new villian King Sombra had NO screen time what so ever, let alone characterization. Thats a shame as MLP has a decent set of villians, Nightmare Moon was fairly simple overall but got better as Luna got more development, Discord owned every scene he was in and Chrysalis kept you guessing right up to the end. Still, given the amount of forshadowing in this ep via Celestia (whats in the book?) hopefully we'll see a return from Sombra with abit more back story to help flesh him out. It shouldn't be to hard, he's basically Sauron/Arthas!
Anyways, the pic was fun. I wanted to go for a old school tyrant look so changed him up abit, hope you all get a kick out of it. Now back to requests.

I definatly don't think that only effecting a small number of characters makes a villian less awesome/developed, quite the opposite in fact, antagonists with a personal connection to the story tend to be easier to write/develope because part of their story has already being told... and how exactly is causing eternal night only effecting half the planet... *thinks about it* oh yeah, good point, haha!
Also we know more of Sombra than that, We know that he had a grudge againts the crystal pony and that he killed the former Crystal princess, Also we know from his traps that he had a bigger brain than what most bronies claim him to have
'No Luna and NMN Have split personalitys and not the same pony, For exsample if luna is shy NMN isnt.'
I know, what im saying is interesting is finding out how Luna got into that situation. Did she slowly change over time or was she corrupted in some way. The fairy tale that opens ep 1 is kinda vague.

This isn't stated, I don't think MLP would go that dark. For all we know he may have been the previous crystal pony leader.

I also agree, as I said in the text box below the pic, I like the character. He has an old school feel which gives him a ton of potential, the writers just need to really go for it.
